Jack Lemmon plays C.C. Baxter, a young insurance rep moving up the corporate ladder, less for his performance than his ability to lend out his apartment to his philandering bosses. But when he meets the lovely Ms. Kubelik, played by Shirley MacLaine, a fellow co-worker he finds himself attracted to who is being used by his boss, Baxter will need to make some choices that will define not only his career, but ultimately his character. It’s a terrific comedy romp from Billy Wilder that not only won the Academy Award for Best Picture 1961, it's also one of the finest American films ever made.
Written and directed by Billy Wilder, 125 minutes. Rated Approved (TV-PG).
