A Place of
Courageous Hospitality
Hospitality
Established in 1885, St. Vincent de Paul Albany is a parish committed to courageous hospitality and caring for God's wonderous creation, both the people and the earth we live on.
We strive to bring Christ's message of justice, peace, and love for all into our community, near and far.
We hope you will find St. Vincent's a hospitable, prayerful and inclusive home!
Our ministries include visiting the sick and homebound, support for the grieving, and joyful celebration of all God's children, including our LGBTQ alliance.
Our food pantry receives more than 400 household visits a month, and is supported in large part by the donations of money and time from our community; our St. Vincent's On A Mission initiative leads events throughout the year dedicated to creating justice for all.
Our Creation Care Team is committed to finding and offering new ways to help parish members live more earth-friendly lives; we use eco-friendly palms on Passion Sunday, and we have installed an electric vehicle charging station in our parking lot that is available to our community.
Our Faith Formation team works year-round to create a fun and Christ-centered environment for children of all ages to learn and grow in faith. From before First Communion to Confirmation and beyond, we strive to build a community for our youth to share in the light of the Word.
We work to integrate the needs of families with children into the fabric of our church, including our Liturgy of the Word for Children during the 11am Mass and hosting our monthly Faith Formation events after Masses on Sundays.
We hope that St. Vincent's can be the place where you find community and belonging! Don't hesitate to contact our Welcome Committee for more information at [email protected]
